Sharing the Work: How trade show evaluations engage students and faculty

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this session we will feature the various methods trade shows are used virtually and in person, within the Community and Justice Program and between justice programs to foster knowledge exchange and develop student’s networking and outreach skills. These authentic assessments go beyond the pen and paper to engage students as experts in their own learning processes and offer faculty alternative evaluations that streamline marking and model collaboration.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Receive a demonstration of how trade shows can be applied to virtual and in person learning environments.
  • Be introduced to interdisciplinary applications of a trade show that deepens student’s appreciation of collaborative practices and utilizes joint assessments.
  • Knowledge exchange of recommended practices and lessons learned from the facilitators and the participants.
