Contract Cheating - Buyer Beware!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Finding someone to complete an essay, or a term paper is easier than ever, and this billion-dollar industry is aggressively marketing to students. Contract cheating is when a student commissions or seeks another party- either paid or unpaid- to produce academic work on the student’s behalf. With pressure to do well, while balancing jobs and family and the sheer magnitude of the pandemic, some of the hardest working and most dedicated students are getting caught in the web of exploitation. Sometimes students don’t even realize what they are doing is wrong as contract cheating becomes normalized.

In this webinar, we will explore:
  • What are factors that lead to contract cheating?
  • What are some sources/sites to watch for?
  • What are the signs of contract cheating?
  • What are some strategies to mitigate contract cheating?
  • What do I do if I suspect contract cheating?
